Hello from my bed!!!

You guys. What a week. We launched The Simplified Cookbook into the world. And after a season of hard work, this week filled my cup. It’s been so fun to hug you guys physically and virtually and hear how many of you also:

(A) love food, but

(B) don’t love making a giant mess in the kitchen, and

(C) don’t feel like chopping things for three hours

There are so many of us, and that makes my heart happy.

Thank you to everyone who bought a copy of The Simplified Cookbook, or told your friend about it, or pre-ordered a copy for your mom for Christmas, or ordered it from your library, or liked a post about it, or made a recipe and shared it with your people. Thank you for your kindness and encouragement during this whole process, when I stuck out my neck and did something I wasn’t quite sure I could do.

This cookbook has stretched me in ways I couldn’t imagine. 😂 The concepting. The testing. The editing. More editing. Even more editing. The photography. Putting it all together to make sure every recipe was as stupid easy and delicious as I wanted them to be. It was hardddddddd. But it was worth it.

Just putting this here: as I’m writing this (the night before this post goes live!) The Simplified Cookbook is 30% off on Amazon.

Anyway, I am simultaneously in my feels and an empty shell. That’s how book launching goes for me!! So, let’s get into some good reads, shall we?

  1. These are my book tour travel essentials. Listen, it may sound glamorous to go on a book tour. But think less Meryl Streep getting whisked around in limos during The Devil Wears Prada and more like . . . a marathon runner. In heels. 😂 This is what I take with me to survive.

  2. Do you remember how life used to feel? or: how I downgraded my phone and upgraded my life. Okay, I’m tempted!!!!

  3. That time you were 27 and bought a farm by yourself in Upstate NY—and how it’s going 15 years later. It’s so cool to listen to someone who knows EXACTLY who she is. May we all know and love ourselves this well right where we are.

  4. There’s no perfect way to show up for someone: here’s how to do it intentionally, not perfectly. A great list of small ways to help when someone in your life is going through it. (also, a good list to have on hand and send to folks if you’re the one who needs help)
