Hi, friends! Happy Sunday! What a WEEK it’s been around here! Three awesome things happened. 1) I turned 41. It’s probably my favorite age so far. 2) I got to FINALLY share that I’m writing a cookbook releasing March 4, 2025. 3) I got to share that You’ll Always Have a Friend (my second children’s book) releases June 4 (and you took it all the way to #1 in friendship books)! Thank you SO much for your excitement over these big pieces of news. The books have been a huge part of the last year of my life — and…. with 6 days to go until the cookbook’s deadline, they’re also a huge part of my life right now. :) Wish me luck. I’m headed to North Caroline tomorrow to shoot 2024-25 Simplified Planners (and more!) with Whitney and Carly from team Simplified. Be sure to follow along on Instagram. I’m sure we’ll have lots of sneak peeks to share! Have a great week!
"It's okay to do things that make your life easier." Nedra Tawwab keeps bringing the reminders I need, especially during busy seasons.
I might be in love with these Art Nouveau tea towels. These blocky pops of color are a great way to usher in spring into your kitchen.
A meatless weeknight dish: No-Stir Mushroom Risotto. I want to try this. Sounds fancy, but looks incredibly comforting on a chilly "not quite spring" evening. We’ve had more than a couple of those around here.
How to respond to passive-aggressive comments. Great advice!
A great discount code from one of my favorite skincare brands. Colleen Rothschild reached out to offer a discount code for Substack subscribers (even better than the code I’m sharing on IG today)! I swear by their Radiant Cleansing Balm (double cleanse ALWAYS) and Retinol Supreme Eye Serum at night. Save 25% with code EMILY25. *
This is a really good candle. Seriously. I don't do scented candles very much, but this smells like freshly-picked mint and I am ready for these kinds of spring vibes.

How to cultivate hope when you don't have any. Life is hard, and sometimes hope runs dry even in the deepest wells. This is an actual, tactical list you may find helpful. ❤️
A chill offline activity: crossword puzzles. Need a screen break? If you're a word person like me, then pull out this book of crosswords. (if you're a numbers person—first of all, bless you, and second of all, maybe get a Sudoku book?) All I know is spending a few minutes in a book after looking at a screen is good for my head. And heart.
My friend Lea gave me this lotion and detergent (plant based AND clean ingredients!) for my birthday and I immediately ordered more of their other products in the same scent. Again — not a big scent person. But this is so fresh and clean smelling. The $20 travel set is so worth it (and they give you a credit if you buy more)!
Without further ado, here are the best memes of the week… below…

Happy birthday, lovely.
I love the tips to make your life easier! The 90s meme is spot on! Good luck with the photo shoot!
