Cozy links, creamy Thanksgiving turkey leftover soup, and one strong opinion about Wicked: For Good.

Hello, and welcome to Sunday! How was your week? Mine was… well, I still haven’t quite gotten the hang of this thing (aka my life) six weeks post-hysterectomy. I’m still bone-deep tired. All my systems are definitely in flux. But! After running through the gauntlet that is the week before Thanksgiving, we packed up the car and headed to the lake for the holiday. For the next week just give me all the sweatpants, all the cozy blankets, all the books and naps.

If you’re still in the middle of running through your “I need to get all the work done before we celebrate” gauntlet — solidarity, sister. Remember that good is the name of the game this week, not perfect.

Oh, before we get to the links, I have a Very Important Announcement:

Wicked: For Good was epic. 🥹💚🩷 GO SEE IT.

Okay, now let’s get to scrolling!

  1. An old-school tool that’ll save your bacon this Thanksgiving. This is such a good pro tip. Printing things out while you’re cooking is your friend!!! (And while we’re here, Mel’s leftover turkey soup is the best thing you’ll make with your turkey surplus.)

  2. Why is watching this innkeeper bake on the first snow day of the season so relaxing? I could watch a hundred hours of this.

  3. Doing too much: the importance of prioritizing tasks and leaving some undone. Leaving this here for us to remember during this bananas holiday week!

  4. Also: gentle but direct ways to explain your boundaries. I feel like we might need this one too.
