Physical Clutter = Mental Clutter. Kickstarting a Fresh Start Mid-Summer

I love to document the decluttering process on Instagram. It’s a fun way to story-tell my way through a big project and also share something I really, genuinely love doing. It’s not the decluttering process I love so much, but the pairing down of things, focusing on what’s most important, and giving myself a big spending-gut-check.

This past weekend, we had an hours-long debacle searching for a cheerleading uniform (spoiler: we found it). Because of that (and a few weeks of looming anxiety over summertime structure-less living) I felt the guttural, primal urge to declutter my whole house (read: throw everything away). BUT… I did not, in fact, order a dumpster, tip my house over, and pour everything into it. Although I did consider such extreme actions.
